Open from June to the first week of September, Aquasplash boasts more than 2,000m of slides and 20,000m2 of pool space, making it one of the biggest and best waterparks in the South of France.
With lagoons, wave pools, and additional facilities including a sea aquarium, kids adventure theme park and golf course, this is one waterpark that’s sure to be a big splash for all ages.
Aqualand Frejus
Located in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, if you like water flumes (and let’s face it, who doesn’t?) you’ll love Aqualand Frejus. With more than 20 slides – including the King Cobra (which sends you spinning through a pitch-black tunnel), the Niagra (a 25m straight drop) and the Black Hole (one of the biggest flumes in France) – Aqualand Frejus is one of the best waterparks in the South of France for anyone looking for a thrilling water ride.
Open between June and September, this is a great place for a family day out. The park also features calmer areas with smaller slides for the little ones and plenty of fast food and ice cream for everyone to enjoy.
Speedwater Park
If you feel the need – the need for speed – forget renting out Top Gun, you need to get yourself to Speedwater Park in Aix-en-Provence.
Fast water slides are Speedwaterpark’s speciality. The main ride is the Black Fear – a 30m straight drop tunnel. Do you dare have a go?
Slightly quieter than Aqualand (which can get very busy in mid-summer) and a little bit cheaper too, Speedwater is another fantastic waterpark in the South of France that is sure to be great fun for all the family.
Canyoning Park
If water slides aren’t your thing, or if you’re looking something a little different than your typical waterpark, then the Canyoning Park of Argeles Sur Mer may be for you.
Jump off cliffs into more than dozen clear-water plunge pools, go abseiling under waterfalls, climb nets and rope ladders, and whizz through the air on a 100m long zip line to drop in plunge pool at the end.
You’ve got to be 10 years old to enjoy the thrills at Canyoning Park however, so not suited for the littler ones.
